Yay we are booked, now what?

First, let’s do a quick celebratory dance 🤸🏽‍♂️

Then let’s go over some logistics

Here are the As to your Qs

Why the questionnaire?

We ask you to fill out the questionnaire because your answers will help us figure out the best/most relevant questions to ask you during our time together. Yes we do our research about you and learn through your earned media pieces AND your voice is most important than someone else’s thoughts on you right?

Will the interview be done via video or just audio?

The interview will be done via video call and we will publish whatever you give us consent to - this is why it is important for you to complete the questionnaire. We will take video snippets for the episode promotion and our social media content. If you don't want us to publish the video, please be sure to mark that on the questionnaire.

Can you send me the questions prior to the interview?

Short answer: No 🥰

Long answer: We don’t know what questions we are going to ask. Cafe con Pam is meant to be a conversation with a friend over coffee. We don’t go off a script or pre-planned questions because we want to get your most authentic answers without rehearsing. While we are considered a media publication, we break the journalistic protocol of planning the questions ahead of time. There’s no need to be nervous because your story is true to you and that’s how we want to hear it.

Of course, we respect any topics you may not want to discuss. Feel free to add any off topics on your guest questionnaire and at the beginning of the interview (prior to recording) Pam will ask if there’s anything you may not want to share and we’ll make sure that topic is not even mentioned during the interview.

The only three questions we always ask:

What is your remedy? What is your quote or mantra you live by today? and What is your productivity tip, trick, or tool you want to recommend? During the coffee break you’ll be asked if you recommend a local coffee shop (if you drink coffee).

I’ve never listened to Cafe con Pam. How does it work?

Every episode consists of three parts: Your heritage and the beginning of your story, a coffee break and your present life story.

We invite you to subscribe to the podcast on iTunes, Stitcher, Simplecast, Castbox, or your podcast platform of choice.

How do I know when my interview will be published?

We have a public roadmap where you can see when upcoming interviews will be published. Because we live in an ever changing world, the calendar is subject to change and be switched around (hence why it’s public) so you can see changes as they happen. We will send you an email when the interview is published with assets for you to promote.

Do I have to promote the interview on my channels?

Well, we’d love that. There’s lot of time and energy we put in the crafting of your interview and a fabulous way to support is to share it with your audience. Plus they’ll enjoy hearing from you from a different perspective. Sharing is caring.

Which software will you be using to record the interview?

We are recording all the interviews via Riverside.fm, you will be able to see the link in the Google calendar invite and there’s no need to download anything. Keep in mind that Riverside only works with Google Chrome. Please close AAAAALLLL your windows and tabs prior to recording. If you could restart your computer, that’d be ideal.

Do I need to have a microphone for our interview?

We don’t expect you to have podcasting equipment so no worries if you don’t have a mic. We kindly ask you to wear headphones and find yourself in the most soundproof space you can be. Actually, for the love of Apollo, have headphones ready, wired ones work best, if bluetooth, remember to charge them. Yep, Pam will make you go find the headphones and borrow them from your gamer kid. Ultimately it’s all about making YOU sound the best.

Can you send me the recording before publishing?

Because we have a small and mighty team, we don’t send interviews before publishing, we trust you believe in our professionalism and we promise we are on your side, our job is to make you sound your best.

To clarify, when we edit Cafe con Pam we remove some filler words that may interrupt the flow of the interview, but we NEVER edit or alter your thoughts to make them portray a different message. If you stumble during a question, you can always pause, count to 3 and start over. We will edit the first part out to make it sound seamless.

We’ve had the rare occasion where a guest says something and then they change their mind, you can message us and we’ll remove the part completely upon your request as long as your request comes within 48 hours of the interview. This is to meet publishing end editing deadlines.

Why do I need to sign a release?

This is a question for our attorney. Kidding, but she did tell us to have you sign it because apparently verbal consent in the law is not so good and we believe in consent so here we are. Having a release gives us permission to use the recording and publish it on the podcast. Your voice and name will be utilized and by signing we’ll be able to use your information publicly. You can absolutely pass this by your attorney and ask all the questions.

Cancellation Policy

We have a long list of potential guests waiting for an opportunity to be on Cafe con Pam. If you have to cancel please let us know in advance so we can offer your spot to another person. If you cancel with less than a week’s notice, unless it’s an emergency, we will push you to the end of the list.

We’re not trying to be mean, it just takes a lot of effort to find a time for busy people like you and we want to make sure everyone gets a fair chance to be on the show.

I have more questions

Sure thing, please send an email to hola@spreadideasmovepeople.com and we’ll support you through there.
